What you’ll lead Operational ownership of the Fast Track Team across OIC/MOJ/MIB and litigation, ensuring on-time eventing, momentum without drift, and consistent SRA/CPR compliance. People leadership for solicitors/fee earners, paralegals and admin—capacity planning, coaching, 1:1s, development plans and performance management, utilising internal performance monitoring tools. Quality & MI—regular case reviews, audits against the Litigation Plan, fee maximisation and KPI delivery. Collaboration with Head of PI, Legal Director and Ops on capacity, dashboards, targets and continuous improvement Systems excellence—lead by example on Proclaim best practice, linked action and template discipline. Still hands-on To stay close to evolving procedures and lead by example, you’ll maintain a partial personal caseload of fast-track EL/PL/RTA (issuing where appropriate). Expect drafting, negotiation, liability & quantum assessment, telephone hearings, bundles and briefing Counsel—always with values-aligned, excellent client service and SLA-led updates. What you’ll do (core accountabilities) Run case reviews; audit files; fix gaps fast; roll out training and track impact. Plan capacity, allocate work, and manage daily throughput and quality. Ensure CPR/SRA/GDPR compliance; handle complaints via agreed pathways. Recruit/induct with HR; coach new starters side-by-side on systems and process. Prepare/lead team meetings; cascade updates and drive adoption of improvements. Partner with Marketing for content (newsletter/social/video) and represent the firm at community/networking events. What you’ll bring Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) with strong claimant fast-track PI experience; confident across OIC/MOJ/MIB and litigation end-to-end. Proven team leadership and mentoring with measurable gains in throughput, quality and client care. Proclaim proficiency; process-driven mindset (you champion consistency and improvement, not workarounds). Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy; MI-literate with sharp commercial judgement. A calm, credible communicator who coaches, course-corrects and inspires high standards. How we work (hybrid expectations) In-office for new-starter inductions & systems/process coaching. Team Days: 1–2 per month · Management Day: 1 per month. Key client/strategy meetings as needed. Flexi-time: choose hours 08:00–18:00 (core 10:00–16:00).
