The Company:
My client is an established renewable energy developer/IPP with an international presence and over 1000 employees globally.
They currently have a 7GW pipeline globally and are looking for a COO to support their continued growth within the BESS, Hydrogen, Solar and Onshore Wind markets.
Their geographic focus is split between their core/growth countries including the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.
Duties:
1. Measuring the efficiency of company operational processes and taking steps to improve them.
2. Developing strategies for the growth of the organization and ensuring their implementation.
3. Liaising between the organization and clients for quality assurance purposes.
4. Ensuring the FD/CFO has raised investment and funding to facilitate operational growth.
5. Providing mentoring and coaching to all employees, including senior management, to optimize motivation levels.
6. Developing and controlling operational budgets to meet objectives within financial parameters and maintain financial strength.
7. Empowering the operational team with leadership and resources for successful operations initiatives.
8. Collaborating with HR to ensure effective recruitment and retention policies.
9. Regularly reviewing operations to meet standards and recommending necessary changes.
10. Partnering with other C-level executives to achieve operational goals.
11. Overseeing organizational operations and making changes to meet business projections.
12. Measuring and reporting operational performance and developing improvement plans for KPIs.
13. Managing acquisitions and sales to promote organizational success.
14. Ensuring an effective employee remuneration system is in place.
15. Promoting clear internal and external communications.
16. Serving as the main adviser on operational issues and staying updated on industry developments.

Experience & Education
1. Minimum 15+ years of management experience in a regulated commercial sector, preferably Power & Renewables.
2. Global experience and cultural dexterity, managing diverse teams across jurisdictions.
3. Proven track record in originating new business opportunities in the Energy Sector, negotiating sale agreements, and delivering large development projects.
4. Extensive knowledge in power, energy, or large infrastructure project development, including stakeholder management, permitting, government relations, engineering design, business case analysis, and revenue securing.
5. Excellent influencing and communication skills to engage employees, partners, and stakeholders.
