Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Assistant

This school looks after children who have been excluded from education or struggle to maintain a place in mainstream education. Many of them have co‑existing social, emotional and mental health needs, and some also face barriers to learning. They are often dealing with trauma and neglect which negatively impacts their learning.
The school needs a mental health assistant to support students in their day‑to‑day activities. Students attending are primary and secondary ages. Each child has a personalised educational and health care plan and an individual intervention plan designed to help them thrive. As a mental health assistant, you will be part of ensuring that they can complete their academic work while also helping them navigate through their emotions and learn functional life skills, supporting independence.
