Our Homelessness Services works to break the cycle of homelessness through a range of tailored support to individuals and families - through Lifehouses (hostels), practical support to rough sleepers, day services/drop in and outreach services, and addiction services.
As a Relief Support Worker, you will work across various services in Belfast to help transform lives.
As a motivated person you will deliver a high-quality support service which promotes choice and control for the clients and encourage them to make positive life choices to achieve the best possible outcomes. As a Relief support worker you will work with the wider staff team to share your skills and expertise demonstrating your understanding willingness and motivation to engage with our clients
In addition, you will;
* Be required to conduct regular client support plan reviews, completing and updating individual support plans; within contractual timeframes and work with clients to achieve their identified goals in accordance with The Salvation Army policy, including client benefits being maximised and personal payments are made as part of a budget plan.
* Work with colleagues to design and deliver a range of in-house support provisions designed to achieve successful outcomes. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Complete and review client's assessments including risk assessments, within contractual timeframes, using a person-centred and trauma sensitive approach.
* Have knowledge of the benefits system and an understanding of supported housing funding streams.
