Role: Year 6 Teaching Assistant Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire Start date: January 2026 Contract: January 2026 – May 2026 (Full-time) Salary: £90-£100 per day (depending on experience, role and/or qualifications) About the role Heart of Supply is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school from January to May 2026, working full-time to support pupils in the run-up to their SATs. In this role, you will work closely with the Year 6 class teachers, providing targeted support to pupils to help them achieve their best during this crucial period. This will include assisting with small-group interventions, one-to-one support, and helping pupils engage confidently with their learning across core subjects. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, encouraging independence, and maintaining a calm, structured and supportive environment. Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary setting is essential, ideally with some experience supporting upper Key Stage 2 or preparing pupils for SATs. Strong behaviour management skills, patience, and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff are all highly desirable.
