The magnificent Bracken Hide Hotel is hiring a Linen & Luggage Porter to join their team in Portree, Isle of Skye. This is a seasonal contract (with the potential to become permanent), working an average of 40 hours per week from Monday to Sunday during peak season.
The Luggage & Linen Porter role involves guest-facing duties and back-of-house responsibilities. As a point of contact for guests, creating a positive impression is essential. The role also requires adherence to health, safety, cleanliness, and hygiene guidelines, with a keen attention to detail.
If working an early shift, you will start by assisting with laundry runs to three hotels in Portree: The Bosville, Marmalade, and Bracken Hide.
Please note: Due to the rural location of our guest cabins, you will be driving a small vehicle. You must be able to drive and follow health & safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver luggage and assist guests to their cabins with warmth and genuine care.
* Wash, dry, and fold linen, towels, and other items.
* Transfer clean laundry to the linen room and cupboards, ensuring accurate counting and recording.
* Manage used laundry, rubbish disposal, and stock deliveries to storerooms and cupboards.
* Handle guests' luggage and guide them to their cabins.
* Transport linen across hotel divisions.
* Assist the Head Housekeeper with linen counts, distribution, and storage.
* Ensure prompt, courteous, and effective guest service to guarantee satisfaction.
