We’re offering an exciting opportunity to work with the Dartford Early Intervention in Psychosis Mental Health service (EIP) as a Band 6 clinician covering Medway and Swale area.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Manage a caseload of service users experiencing a first episode of psychosis using evidence-based/client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
* Work collaboratively with service users, staff, and their support network to identify goals and deliver appropriate interventions/recovery plans that maximise engagement and performance while balancing risk, and promoting choice and independence.
* Provide a professional contribution to a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, effective and high‑quality mental health services that meet new policies, practice and standards.
* Work with other professions within the service—including STR workers, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Pharmacists, Medics, Psychologists, and Individual Placement Support—to ensure the service user is offered a range of support meeting individual and family needs.
* Work Fridays as part of the working week.
* Actively participate in the North & West Kent EIP‑wide duty function, undertaking duty at the EIP base in Gillingham and facilitating assessments throughout the Medway and Swale area.
* Administer depot medication to service users as required.
* Attend CPAs and tribunals.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Good knowledge of medication management.
* Good knowledge of Community Treatment Orders (CTOs).
Compensation and Benefits
High‑Cost Area (HCA) allowance (London Weighting) – a payment for employees working in London and surrounding areas: 5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £1,346 per year and a maximum payment of £2,270 per year (2026/27 figures). The agreed annual amount is divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
