The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist (Working Age Adults) to support an inpatient mental health service in the West Midlands region.
This opportunity offers a full time locum contract with a Monday–Friday 09:00–17:00 rota, providing structured and consistent work within an acute inpatient ward environment. It is well suited to candidates with experience in Working Age Adult Psychiatry, who are confident working in fast paced clinical settings while maintaining high standards of care.
You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting day to day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver high quality psychiatric care within an inpatient mental health environment
- Support day to day clinical operations, contributing to efficient patient flow and service delivery
- Carry out assessments, reviews, and treatment planning in line with local protocols and best practice
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, AHPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards

What We’re Looking For
- Active GMC registration
- Recent UK experience in Working Age Adult Psychiatry
- Ability to work independently and as part of an established MDT
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
- AC approval and Section 12 approval – mandatory
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
