Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The successful candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
* Support the cooking process under supervision, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
* Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and proper storage of ingredients
* Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation standards are met
* Support catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with setup and breakdown
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
* Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is highly desirable
* Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
* Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
* Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and food service operations
