We're looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Southern Water Strategic Delivery Programme team based in Falmer, Brighton. Location: Falmer, Brighton – remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 40 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. This is an exciting opportunity to join Kier as we embark on a strategic partnership with Southern Water to deliver their ambitious AMP 8 Water cycle programme. As Commercial Manager, you'll play a vital role in mobilising projects across Southern Water's areas.

Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial performance of contracts through effective management of resources, understanding contract conditions, and implementing risk‑management strategies.
* Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop commercial strategies that drive successful project delivery and profitability.
* Manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals across the region, identifying talent and fostering development.
* Produce high‑level commercial reports and present them to board‑level stakeholders.
* Oversee monthly valuations, cost forecasting, and financial reporting to maximise cash flow and project performance.
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying and Chartered Status (or equivalent professional qualification).
* Have substantial experience in a senior commercial role within a Tier 1 contracting environment, ideally within the water sector or regulated utilities.
* Possess excellent contractual knowledge, including NEC and JCT conditions.
* Have a proven track record of producing board‑level commercial reports and developing successful commercial strategies.
* Be an inspiring leader who can manage teams, drive collaboration, and foster an inclusive working environment.
