Job Summary
We are seeking a well‑qualified Teacher of English to teach up to A Level within our Girls’ Day School Trust. The role involves lesson preparation, engaging teaching, assessment, and support for extra‑curricular activities such as public‑speaking teams, creative writing competitions and school trips.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for students aged 11–18, meeting consistent high standards.
* Maintain rigorous behaviour management and student welfare culture.
* Engage with pastoral care matters and contribute positively to the school environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the English Department and support extracurricular initiatives.
* Keep up to date with developments in the teaching profession and bring innovative practices to the classroom.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Well‑qualified graduate with QTS or equivalent.
* Successful teaching experience across 11–18 age range, including A‑Level.
* Track record of enabling learners to achieve high academic standards.
* Excellent behaviour management skills and commitment to positive pastoral care.
* Proactive, innovative teaching approach and awareness of current professional developments.
