Main role of a Finance Assistant Our Finance Assistant role would be reporting into the site Finance Manager of a busy internal team. The successful applicant will be required to ensure the speedy and accurate input of all sales and purchase accounts details to Sage 200. Be able to ensure all outstanding debts are chased in an efficient and sequenced manner. Have a flexible approach to meet the varied demands of the Finance Assistant role. Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant Entering and checking all service users details onto the internal invoicing system Processing sales invoices including matching invoices, delivery notes and orders Credit control - Chasing debts and details of contracts. Posting receipts and refunds. 'End' of month and year balancing of daybooks and nominal ledgers Processing payments and making payment of accounts at month end. Reconciling purchase ledger statements Skills and experience: Purchase and Sales Ledger Credit Control Attention to detail and accuracy including excellent communication skills Liaising with various departments and colleagues in a professional manner Sage 200 experience is desirable but not essential For this new and exciting opportunity, our client can offer a permanent long-term career opportunity in a reputable, established organisation.
