Overview
You will undertake training for this role, which will involve rotating through different pharmacy areas to gain knowledge, skills and competencies to gain a BTEC diploma in Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians Level 3. This role involves attending Bradford College live session in a virtual college classroom once a week and gain practical experience in pharmacy services under supervision of qualified assessors. Working pattern will be 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the day to day dispensing of aseptic preparations under the supervision of qualified technicians.
* Attendance at college once a week for BTEC in pharmacy services and the completion of a work based skills Level 3 portfolio in pharmacy services under direct supervision of a qualified NVQ assessor in-house.
* To participate in the dispensing of oral preparations including clinical trials under the supervision of a qualified technician.
* To follow all standard operating procedures and health and safety policies of the pharmacy department and the trust.
* Refer matters requiring expert advice to the appropriate pharmacists.
* Attend such training courses from time to time as are deemed necessary for a comprehensive robust insight into cytotoxic reconstitution/medicines management/clinical trials.
