Role Overview
As Membership Associate you will work alongside the Membership Team to support and drive membership sales and engagement. Your role will focus on market research, competitor analysis, identifying potential member targets, and maintaining the CRM system to ensure accurate data and reporting. You will help target qualified prospects and deliver insights that strengthen outreach, member relationships, and overall organisational success. Through event participation and digital activities, you will also support planning, development, and delivery of Bionow events and drive member engagement. We believe the role will suit those wanting to begin their sales careers or exiting sales professionals wanting to develop their careers in the membership arena.
Key Responsibilities
•Support the membership team by researching industry trends, member needs, and competitor activities to uncover opportunities for growth and engagement.
•Assist the team in identifying and qualifying potential membership sales oppprtunities, ensuring a steady flow of high-potential prospects.
•Provide the membership team with insights by compiling and analysing data on member activity, market trends, and performance metrics.
•Contribute to the development and delivery of membership plans by supplying relevant data, research, and member insights.
•Create supporting materials for team presentations, proposals, and membership campaigns.
•Maintain and update member databases and the CRM system to ensure accurate records, enabling the membership team to work efficiently.
Person Specification
Essential:
•Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
•Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
•Comfortable working remotely and managing multiple priorities independently
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Experience with CRM systems and database management.
•Confident with Microsoft Office
•Willingness to travel occasionally within the North of England
Desirable:
•Previous experience in a membership, sales support, marketing, or business development role.
•Knowledge of membership engagement strategies or customer relationship management best practices.
•Familiarity with market research methods and tools.
•Experience creating reports, dashboards, or data visualisations.
•A degree (or equivalent experience) in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
