Engineering Assistant Huddersfield Private Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £26,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification) Huddersfield Private Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country. We have an opportunity for a Engineering Assistant to join their team of staff in the Engineering department. This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Duties of this role include: Provide competent Technical, Health, Safety and Environmental support & assistance. Provide assistance to Site based Technicians in carrying out their role within the cluster. Support the Senior Engineering Technician and Engineering Technicians in their day to day duties. Provide supplementary Engineering support to other Circle Health Group sites within cluster on request. Respond to reactive calls issued within Service Level Agreement (SLA) Ensure all remedial tasks issued following Statutory Insurance Inspections are undertaken as instructed. Undertake the Engineering Planned Preventative Maintenance Routine as detailed in the Standard operating Procedure manuals. The level of undertaking will be based on the competency level established on each site and this may be supplemented by the other Engineering staff to ensure PPM completion across cluster sites. You comply with all relevant mandatory training. Applicants should meet the following criteria: Engineering qualification or ability to work towards specialised Engineering discipline. Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card required. Understanding of Quality Management, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement process. Understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and applicable statutes. Understanding of Legionella prevention requirements within Hospital buildings. Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Clear organisation & time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities. Sound fault finding techniques.
