Job Details

As Project Manager – Tay Cities Region Deal (Digital Skills), you will be responsible for coordinating and driving the successful delivery of the Digital Skills project across the Tay Cities regional area. This is a high-profile programme that plays a key role in the region’s approach to inclusive growth, digital capability, and skills investment.

In this role, you will:

1. Lead end to end delivery of the Digital Skills project, ensuring activity is delivered on time, on budget and to agreed standards.

2. Maintain strategic focus and alignment across multiple partners and stakeholders within the Regional Skills & Employability Development Programme.

3. Coordinate input for UK and Scottish Government investment discussions and ensure robust oversight of programme governance and reporting.

4. Identify opportunities for regional collaboration, adoption of shared standards, and continuous improvement across digital skills initiatives.

5. Ensure benefits set out in the Business Case are realised, and that delivery reflects inclusive growth principles.

6. Manage digital skills project budgets, work packages, risks, issues and interdependencies, ensuring clear reporting and performance monitoring.

7. Build strong relationships with industry, local authorities, national bodies, and other stakeholders to support aligned project delivery.

8. Provide advice, guidance and hands on project management to support work package leads and related projects.

The Person

9. Educated to SCQF Level 8 (HND/SVQ4) or equivalent.

10. Project management experience, including managing multidisciplinary projects and producing reports to a high standard.

11. Experience managing budgets from multiple funding sources.

12. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse partners.

13. Experience in digital, skills, employability, or economic development environments (desirable but not essential).

14. Understanding of digital technology industry needs and labour market challenges (desirable).

15. Ability to prioritise tasks, present information clearly, and use data and digital tools effectively.

16. Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
