This is a high impact role at the heart of Royal London’s workforce planning transformation.

As Resource Planning Lead, you will work in close partnership with senior leaders across the business, helping to shape how Royal London plans, analyses and deploys its workforce. You’ll play a pivotal role in building a data driven workforce planning capability, turning complex, fragmented data into meaningful insight that directly supports strategic decision making.

This role suits someone who is credible at senior level, comfortable challenging and influencing, and motivated by driving change.



What you’ll be responsible for

• Act as a strategic partner to the business, working with senior stakeholders to shape workforce plans that align to Royal London’s wider strategy.

• Lead the development of a Workforce MI Hub, bringing together fragmented workforce data into a single, trusted source of insight.

• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insight that supports senior leadership decision making and long term workforce planning.

• Drive transformation in how workforce planning is approached — embedding better forecasting, scenario modelling and strategic thinking.

• Lead initiatives to improve data quality and integrity in source systems, enabling more accurate long term planning.

• Use advanced analytical techniques to identify trends, risks and opportunities across large and complex data sets.

• Provide robust, credible reporting and insight to senior leaders within COO, supporting strategic discussions and investment decisions.

• Play a key role in shaping future ways of working, including the use of automation, Copilot and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.




What we’re looking for

We’re seeking someone who combines strong data capability with credibility and influence.

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience in resource planning, workforce planning, MI, analytics or a similar strategic data led role.

• A track record of working with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and building trusted partnerships with the business.

• Strong experience handling large, complex and fragmented data sets, turning them into meaningful insight.

• Advanced Excel capability (e.g. complex formulas, Power Query, automation, scenario modelling).

• Experience using or exploring Copilot, AI or advanced analytical tools to improve insight, efficiency or decision making (highly desirable).

• A mindset focused on change, continuous improvement and transformation, not just delivery.

• The confidence to challenge current approaches and help shape a more mature workforce planning capability.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate insight and recommendations to senior audiences.

Experience with specific resource planning systems isn’t essential — we’re far more interested in your analytical depth, strategic thinking and ability to partner with the business.
