Key Responsibilities:
* Advising clients on all aspects of data protection, privacy laws, and compliance (including GDPR).
* Drafting and negotiating data processing agreements, privacy notices, and other related documentation.
* Assisting clients with data breach management, reporting, and investigations.
* Advise on complex Subject Access Requests (SARs) and other data subject requests.
* Support clients in responding to and resolving personal data breaches, including liaising with the ICO.
* Conduct data protection gap analyses and support the implementation of compliance plans.
* Keeping up to date with regulatory developments in data protection law.
* Supporting the wider team on commercial contracts and other legal matters as required.
What they are looking for:
* Qualified solicitor in Scotland from 0-3 PQE, with a good understanding of data protection laws.
* Experience in data protection, privacy law, and GDPR compliance.
* Strong analytical skills and a commercial approach to providing legal solutions.
* Ability to deliver commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused attitude.
