They have a flexible and innovative can-do approach which allows them to continually exceed client expectations and this has led to an enviable portfolio of repeat business.Summary of Role: The M&E Manager will be the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing lead on a number of projects and report directly to the Operations Director. Key Responsibilities: Review project documents from M&E perspective, advise on requirements/risks and suggest any changesManagement and Co-Ordination of design process with sub-contractors and client consultation teamManage M&E elements of live projects and tendersManage and lead M&E subcontractors to provide support to the Project team on relevant projectsLiaise with tender and project teams to ensure design is developed in line with expectationsEnsure a programme is prepared and agreed with each designer, consultant and subcontractor responsible for M&E worksEnsure M&E design, installation and commissioning programmes are incorporated into the main programmeMonitoring progress of the works and updating the programme as necessaryEnsure works are managed in accordance with relevant H&S and quality proceduresLiaising with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers as and when requiredProviding necessary information to the procurement team to enable the procurement of materials and/or subcontractorsContinuous site level assistance with all team members including our subcontract supply chain ensuring successful compliant delivery of each projectSuccessfully managing Testing and Commissioning of M&E elements in order to provide relevant handover documentsCommunicate with the commercial and operational team to advise of progress and changesTo perform the role in accordance with the Company's policies and proceduresAdopt a Continuous Improvement approach to processes and practicesContribute towards an overall company culture of sharing information and knowledge where there is a focus on solving issues as a team within a 'can-do' attitude and removing barriers to successThe Ideal Person: Recent relevant significant experience in a similar roleExperience working in a fast-paced environment demonstrating your ability to meet the demands of this roleHave extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving measuresStrong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation for the construction industryExcellent IT skills especially Microsoft OfficeExperience in leading and managing subcontractorsProven ability to communicate effectively to build relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholdersAttention to detailAbility to work effectively both alone and in a team environmentA proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and dutiesContinually seeking ways to improve, adapt and innovate while meeting compliance and commercial requirementsExperience of producing timely reports for Senior Management levelFor further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact Robert Apps for a confidential discussionSkills:M&E M&E Manager Mechanical ManagerBenefits:+ excellent packageWHJS1_NI
