On offer is a dynamic role offering the autonomy to be the go-to person for imports within a well-established SME who are known for looking after their staff, in a role offering the chance to join a friendly team and to continually progress to senior roles. This well-established SME provide specialist stainless steel products for a broad client base across a range of key industries. They have seen steady growth to the point they have 29 staff and £26m turnover and due to an ever increasing workload are looking to grow their friendly team. This varied role will see you undertake project work for imports of goods via sea, primarily from Eastern Asia. You will be responsible for liaising with suppliers and forwarders to ensure on time delivery whilst looking at opportunities for continual improvement. You will learn from the General Manager, as well as liaising with Stock Control, and other members of the tight-knit office team as you work Monday-Friday 08:30-17:00. This exciting role would suit an Ocean Import Specialist or similar looking to upskill themselves within a well-established SME who offer a varied workload and the chance to continually progress your career.
