Installation Engineer - Northern Ireland

Hours: Full time, Monday to Saturday, 45hrs a week, 7.30am-5.30pm. 1 Saturday per month paid as overtime.
Location: Derry
Reporting to: Installations Field Manager
Salary: £30,100 - £34,000 per year. Additional incentives: target bonus of 20% of salary and extra pay for one additional Saturday per month. On-target earnings can reach up to £39,000 per year.

Job Purpose
The Installation Engineer will install a fibre connection into the customer premises, ensuring right-first-time installation and delivering outstanding customer service. You will update relevant systems in a timely manner throughout the day. You may be required to complete other department tasks due to workload from ISP partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Primarily work on customer installations.
* Install into a customer premises, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
* Manage the tools issued and the vehicle assigned to you per the vehicle policy.
* Complete assigned tasks on time and manage day-to-day jobs.
* Maintain health and safety compliance.
* Work individually and as part of a team to achieve targets and KPIs.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience in a similar role, working on or for the Openreach Network (preferred).
* Ability to conduct risk assessment and hazard identification with a focus on health and safety practices.
* Demonstrable experience in a networking engineering environment (preferred).
* Excellent organisational skills; clear and concise communication.
* Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
* Ability to foster excellent working relationships within the team and with customers; strong customer service attitude.
* Proactive approach to improving efficiencies.
Requirements
* Must hold a full UK driving licence for minimum 12 months.
* SA001, SA002, S7, S8 or equivalent desirable
* IPAF 1b desirable
* NRSWA unit 2 (minimum) desirable
* SMART AWARDS preferable
* Telecommunications experience or transferable skills.
