Overview
Occupational Therapy Healthcare Support Worker role at NHS Scotland. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Occupational Therapy Inpatient Team based in Queen Margaret Hospital, Fife. You will work as part of a close, dedicated team of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Healthcare Clinical Support workers (HCSW) to deliver high quality rehabilitation to mostly older patients with a wide range of conditions, with the aim of optimising their physical function.
You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, carrying out ongoing treatment programmes and joint treatments with the Occupational Therapy staff. You will have good organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team.
Responsibilities
 * Carry out ongoing treatment programmes and joint treatments with the Occupational Therapy staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
 * Deliver high quality rehabilitation to mostly older patients to optimise physical function.
 * Demonstrate good organisational skills and effective communication; work independently as well as in a team.
Qualifications and experience
 * SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
 * Experience working as a physiotherapy or occupational therapy HCSW, and experience working with older people is desirable.
Additional information
 * There may be occasions to work in other community hospital sites; the ability to travel throughout the area is essential.
 * Service offers regular supervision, personal development plans, and supports training opportunities.
 * Interviews will be undertaken face to face at Queen Margaret Hospital.
