This is a highly specialized, focusing on governing standards, frameworks, and enabling domain components within enterprise architecture. You will be tasked with leading the charge to standardize and simplify technology architecture, aligning it with our global business and data strategies by governing frameworks, automating policies, and embedding modern cloud and integration solutions.
* Create reusable frameworks and components with an emphasis on consistency, automation, and long-term resilience.
* Bring modern architecture expertise, including policy-as-code, Kubernetes, and data mesh coupled with global leadership, managing distributed teams and fostering a culture of reuse.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
* Architecture Governance: Establishing and enforcing standards, policies, and frameworks for enterprise architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
* Change Lifecycle Management: Standardizing artefacts (e.g., architecture diagrams, roadmaps) required during the change lifecycle to ensure consistency across projects.
* Policy Automation: Embedding controls into workflows to automate compliance with architectural standards (e.g., automated cloud governance tools).
* Stakeholder Engagement: Influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams to adopt modern architectural practices.
* Transformation Oversight: Guiding the multi-year transformation by aligning architectural standards with scalability and resilience goals.
* Define and govern enterprise architecture standards, including frameworks, patterns, and tooling (e.g., LeanIX, Confluence, Terraform).
* Build reusable domain reference architectures for Cloud, Infrastructure, Integration, Data, and Security to drive consistency.
* Chair a federated Design Authority, embedding automated policy gates in CI/CD pipelines to reduce cycle times and manual reviews.
* Lead enterprise-wide simplification, retiring legacy systems and promoting cloud-native, event-driven designs (e.g., Kafka, MuleSoft).
Experience Required:
* Proven track record leading globally distributed architecture or technology teams.
* Deep expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate).
* Experience in large-scale technology transformations, particularly in financial services.
* History of influencing C-level stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment.
* Extensive architecture governance experience, with a track record of codifying EA frameworks in regulated environments
* Translate technical debt into C-suite priorities.
* Strategic thinking to align architecture with business and technology goals.
* Technical proficiency in modern cloud, integration, and automation technologies.
* Strong governance and policy automation skills to embed controls.
* Excellent communication to articulate complex architectural concepts to diverse audiences.
* Up-to-date on modern architecture principles (e.g., microservices, event-driven systems).
* Familiarity with financial services regulations (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II) and their impact on architecture.
