Pay: Unscheduled Care Practitioner non prescriber
£19.10 - £23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Unscheduled Care Practitioner - prescriber
£23.61 - £27.01 per hour, depending on experience
PLUS, a Golden Hello of £2.5k paid in two instalments over 6 months (pro rota this applies to EXTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY)
Hours: 18 hrs/week
Accountable to: Head of Service
Reports to: Lancashire Clinical Managers
Base: The post will be based at Fleetwood Urgent Treatment Centre (FUTC). The UTC aims to deliver services between 8am - 8pm, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Evening and weekend work will be required.

Role
The post holder will exercise clinical expertise, judgment, discretion, and decision-making in clinical care, providing high standards of care for patients with minor illnesses & injuries. There are development opportunities with training and mentorship to extend clinical competencies.
The Post Holder Will:
1. Work with and champion the unit alongside Senior Managerial colleagues.
2. Support the Management team and Clinical manager to meet and improve service KPIs/Targets.
3. Ensure mandatory training is up-to-date and pursue CPD for ongoing development.
4. Practice under supervision, assessing, diagnosing, treating, referring, and discharging patients with minor illnesses/injuries within set parameters.
5. Provide advanced clinical advice, understanding issues related to diagnosis, treatment, and management.
6. Identify, initiate, and interpret diagnostic investigations.
7. Safely undertake invasive and non-invasive procedures for diagnosis.
8. Independently undertake telephone triage.
9. Work within current nurse prescribing legislation.
10. Lead improvements in care standards through supervision, audits, and evidence-based practice.
11. Contribute to Clinical Governance via audits and research.
12. Act according to NMC Code or relevant professional body.
13. Provide professional and clinical advice within the multidisciplinary team.
