Job Title: Co-op - IGTD R&D Mechanical Engineering - Cambridge, MA - January - August 2026
Are you interested in a co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) or masters (MS) degree to participate in 6 month co-op opportunities at our site in Cambridge, MA.
Responsibilities
* Provide Mechanical Engineering support for the development of next generation Intra-cardiac Echocardiography (ICE) ultrasound imaging transducers
* Participate in the development of new tooling and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks
* Set up and execute experimental evaluation of material designs and fabrication processes
* Work alongside a multidiscipline group of engineers ranging from mechanical, electrical, materials, acoustic, system, and software engineers
* Deep-dive into real engineering problems and learn to implement products through the engineering design process (Design-Build-Test-Learn-Repeat)
* A strong team player (Social skills, collaboration, and teamwork are all integral to a successful product)
* Knowledge and understanding of SolidWorks (part, assembly, and drawing skillset)
* An independent, self-sufficient, and responsible student
* You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation
Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in mechanical engineering
* A strong team player (Social skills, collaboration, and teamwork are all integral to a successful product)
* Knowledge and understanding of SolidWorks (part, assembly, and drawing skillset)
* Independent, self-sufficient, and responsible
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company\'s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company\'s main facilities, generally at the customers\' or suppliers\' locations. This is an office role.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range for this position is: Bachelor Level: $25 - 28 an hour; Master\'s Level: $30 - 45 an hour plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. * Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge, MA.
