Regional Quality Improvement Nurse - Essex & London
Excelcare is a privately owned nursing and care home provider established for over 34 years. We have an excellent opportunity for a Regional Quality Improvement Nurse to join our strong and well-established Home Management and Regional Team supporting 16 Care Homes across Essex & London.
Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Deputy Regional Operations Director, the Regional Quality Improvement Nurse will lead and implement the quality strategy across the region, reviewing audit outcomes and coordinating actions with guidance from the DROD. You will support the homes to improve care delivery and embed quality and wellbeing.
About the Regional Quality Improvement Nurse role
* Work with home managers to ensure knowledge and support are provided as identified through action plans following audits against all aspects of CQC Regulations, local authority requirements, and Company policies.
* Support with completing action plans from audit findings and identify support needs in conjunction with the Regional Operations Director and Deputy Regional Operations Director.
* Assist Home Managers, Care Managers, and clinical teams in analyzing Clinical Key Performance Indicators and identifying trends.
* Implement Service Improvement plans for homes rated below standard.
* Support the embedding of the Personhood Framework to demonstrate continuous improvement in ‘Petals’ areas within the home.
* Ensure adherence to safeguarding and adult protection policies, including involvement in investigations and reporting.
* Provide focused support to care homes as directed, including on-call, crisis management, and placement support if required.
* Coordinate with regulatory bodies and partner organizations such as local trusts, authorities, and CCGs.
* Support nurse development through clinical supervision, observations, and feedback.
About you
* NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
* Over 5 years of clinical and care experience
* Knowledge of the Health & Social Care Act 2008 and Regulations 2014
* Up-to-date knowledge of care and risk assessment
* Understanding of CQC Regulations and KLOEs
* Car owner and full driving license to travel across services; car allowance and mileage paid from regional office.
