Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Keynsham – Bath and North East Somerset

* £95 - £120 per day, depending on experience
* Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm

This role involves leading classes and developing children's skills in their learning. A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will teach and cover classes during teacher absences, using their planning to ensure continuous student learning. The senior leadership team is supportive and actively involved to support students' development and growth.
Responsibilities may include carrying out intervention tasks to support students lacking confidence and assisting those needing additional learning support. The schools seek individuals who will settle well within the setting and continue their dedicated work with students. Qualities such as kindness, caring, nurturing, and fairness are highly valued.
You will support pupils across the school and participate in extracurricular activities outside the classroom. Your skills will be tested in supporting each pupil's learning and development, ensuring they are encouraged, supported, and effectively managed to meet their needs.
Requirements for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
* Hold HLTA status or have extensive previous teaching assistance experience
* Be capable of preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, small groups, or the entire class
* Experience of strong behaviour management within the classroom
* A passion for working with children, especially those with special educational needs
