The Financial Services Commission Summer Internship Programme provides tertiary-level and senior secondary students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional regulatory environment. Interns will support their assigned departments with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks, participate in learning activities, and gain exposure to the Commission’s mandate, functions, and industry stakeholders. The successful candidate must be motivated, responsible, and willing to learn. Interns will be expected to maintain the Commission’s standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and service excellence throughout the duration of the programme. Duties and Responsibilities Intern responsibilities may vary depending on division placement, but will generally include: Assisting with basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and research; Supporting staff with routine tasks and special projects within the department; Assisting with the organisation of meetings, training sessions, or departmental activities; Maintaining accurate records and updating departmental logs when required; Shadowing experienced team members to gain practical knowledge of the Commission’s operations; Providing customer service support, where applicable, in a professional and courteous manner; Assisting with digital filing, scanning, and document management tasks; Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures; and Performing any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications / Knowledge and Experience Required Currently enrolled in a secondary or tertiary institution (e.g., high school, college, or university); Interest in business administration, finance, law, human resources, information technology, or related fields; Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; Good time management and organisational skills; Willingness to learn, adapt, and follow instructions; and Demonstrated professionalism and reliability.
