Job Title: Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary / PA

Location: Liverpool – Hybrid Working Considered (DOE)

Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Role

We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded, forward-thinking law firm based in the heart of Liverpool, currently seeking a professional and experienced Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant to join their busy Residential Conveyancing department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong audio typing and dictation skills, excellent knowledge of conveyancing processes, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Hybrid working arrangements may be offered depending on experience, making this an ideal role for candidates seeking a degree of flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide dedicated secretarial and PA support to one or more conveyancing fee earners/solicitors.
* Typing of legal documents and correspondence via audio dictation (BigHand or similar software).
* Preparing and amending contracts, Land Registry forms, completion statements, and other conveyancing documentation.
* Opening and closing files, both physically and electronically, in line with compliance procedures.
* Diary management, arranging appointments, and liaising with clients, estate agents, and other third parties.
* Handling incoming calls and emails, taking detailed messages and following up on queries.
* Assisting with post-completion procedures including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
* Filing, scanning, photocopying, and other general administrative duties.

Key Requirements

* Minimum 2 years' experience in a Legal Secretary or PA role within a Residential Conveyancing department.
* Strong audio typing and digital dictation skills are essential.
* A good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
* Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
* Friendly, professional manner and a strong team player.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Confident in using Microsoft Office and case management systems (experience with Leap, Proclaim or similar is advantageous).
