A Pupil Referral Unit in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a resilient Learning Support Assistant to work with students who have been excluded from mainstream education. Pupils present with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and additional SEND.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils in small class settings
* Help manage challenging behaviour using positive strategies
* Build trusting relationships to re-engage learners
* Support emotional wellbeing and personal development
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in PRU, SEMH, youth work, or mentoring
* Calm, consistent, and confident personality
* Passion for supporting vulnerable young people
