We are looking for a full‑time Wellbeing Ambassador to work across the Castlepoint District. Closing – 21st June 2026.
Key Skills and abilities
* To enthusiastically support the Public Health & Active Wellbeing Manager and the Wellbeing Team in the delivery of customer-focused community-designed health and wellness programmes across our Recreational Services and within our communities, directly addressing the needs of people in our communities to improve health and wellbeing. Also to be proactive at promotion, networking and building professional relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
Experience
* Working on projects or programmes designed to increase activity levels and social connections in a community
* Customer service / support
* Community Outreach
* Communication, promotion and marketing skills
* Fitness instruction (Desirable but not essential)
Accountabilities
* To maximise health and wellness outreach, activity delivery and supporting the co‑designing of community‑led health and wellness sessions across the Councils recreational facilities, open spaces and in key identified locations.
* To deliver health and wellbeing activities as required.
* To carry out regular health and wellbeing outreach and support to champion physical, mental, and social wellbeing initiatives.
* To have great customer‑focused skills to encourage behavioural change and to build positive relationships with our communities through activity support, exercise and wellness reviews and delivery of health and wellness activities.
* To assist and collaborate with wider Council services and place‑based partnership as required.
* To play a vital role in promoting positive and supportive health and wellbeing environments by championing physical, mental, and social wellbeing initiatives.
* To carry out robust monitoring and evaluation exercises as required in line with policies and processes.
