Location: Farnborough Role: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Year 6) Setting: SEMH & SEN Specialist School (Ages 4–16) Pay: £14.20 per hour A specialist SEMH and SEN school in Farnborough is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will provide consistent, individual support to help the pupil manage emotions, remain engaged in learning, and build confidence. The school offers a nurturing environment with small classes (around six pupils) and strong staff support. Responsibilities Provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with SEMH needs Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and learning engagement Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff Help maintain a calm and structured environment About You We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, including education, youth work, sports coaching, care, mentoring, or support work. Experience with SEMH or SEN is beneficial but not essential. You should be patient, resilient, and committed to supporting young people.
