Project Manager (Healthcare) – Construction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our busy and expanding Manchester office, supporting our clients to deliver projects and programmes in the Healthcare sector, within our Real Estate division.
Primary Responsibilities
* Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
* Act as the key, day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
* Advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage, including selecting approaches to achieve client objectives.
* Establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
* Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environmental issues.
* Establish project governance processes and systems.
* Produce detailed project plans.
* Advise on procurement of resources.
* Lead and facilitate the cross‑functional project team.
* Apply performance management techniques, using KPIs to improve project performance.
* Manage change control processes.
* Monitor and advise on project finances.
* Manage flow of project information between team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
* Produce formal progress and other reports.
* Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages.
Scope
Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, typically up to £40m, though larger advisory projects may exceed this.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
* Professional qualification (MCIOB / APM or similar).
* Proven experience managing Healthcare projects, ideally in a consultancy environment; candidates from contracting backgrounds will also be considered.
