The role:
1. Managing pension administration activities for Defined Benefit pension schemes
2. Processing member enquiries, calculations and benefit settlements accurately and within agreed service levels
3. Maintaining scheme member records and ensuring all data is up to date
4. Responding to telephone and email enquiries from members and clients
5. Monitoring workloads and prioritising tasks to ensure service standards are achieved
6. Assisting with scheme events, projects and reporting requirements
7. Reviewing and checking work to ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards
8. Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
9. Building and maintaining a strong understanding of client pension schemes and benefit structures
10. Ensuring all work is completed in line with internal controls, regulatory requirements and client expectations
The successful candidate:
11. Previous experience within Defined Benefit pensions administration
12. Experience working for a third-party administrator or within an in-house occupational pension scheme
13. Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
14. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
15. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team environment
16. Proactive approach with a desire to learn and develop professionally
17. Strong organisational and time management skills
Desirable:
18. Studying towards or qualified in a recognised pensions qualification such as PMI
19. Experience providing support, guidance or training to junior team members
