Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Shift: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 (Rotating) - Permanent Role
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving real engineering problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll be keeping critical production equipment running, diagnosing faults under pressure, and driving improvements that directly reduce downtime and improve reliability.
If you’re confident working with PLC-controlled machinery, drives, and industrial systems—and you prefer being on the shop floor rather than behind a desk—this role offers strong variety and technical challenge.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical and control faults
Troubleshoot PLC systems (Siemens & Mitsubishi)
Fault-find on drives (VFD/servo) and optimise performance
Maintain electro-hydraulic systems
Ensure compliance with safety procedures (LOTO, interlocks)
Support extraction/ventilation systems
Carry out root cause analysis and implement improvements
Assist with upgrades and commissioning
Maintain documentation and provide clear shift handovers
Requirements
Strong industrial electrical experience (3-phase, control systems)
PLC fault-finding experience (Siemens/Mitsubishi preferred)
Experience with drives (VFD/servo systems)
Basic hydraulics knowledge
Ability to read electrical schematics
Manufacturing or heavy industry background
Desirable
HNC/HND in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics (or equivalent)
Experience with TIA Portal or GX Works
Electrical safety or hydraulics training
Working Environment
Heavy industrial environment (heat, noise)
Shop-floor based, hands-on role
Involvement in shutdowns and commissioning work
