The Role We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the Mental Health team at University Hospital Wishaw! The successful candidate will be responsible for the application of the Framework of the Nursing Process. This includes delivering high standards of client / patient care for patients with a range of mental disorders, substance misuse, learning disability or co-morbidity, under the clinical supervision of the caseload holder / charge nurse / team leader, senior charge nurse or practitioner. What We'll Need You To Bring Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary tea Excellent time management skills Working knowledge of basic information technology It Would Be Great If You Also Have Educated to, working towards, operating at diploma level Evidence of willingness to commit to continuous professional development including completion of Flying Start development programme within 1st year of qualification Practice experience working in mental health or learning disability nursing at registered nurse level Knowledge of evidence based interventions in the nursing care and treatment of people with mental illness or learning disability Knowledge of current national legislation, national and local policy relevant to mental health and learning disability nursing practice Looking to find out more?
