Role: Generator Fitter
Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch
Salary: £40,000 - £43,000
Job type: 7:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday
The Role
You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of generators, ensuring maximum availability for hire.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators
* Fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems
* Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
* Preparing generators and associated equipment for hire
* Supporting installation and commissioning of generators on-site where required
* Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with Health & Safety procedures
Qualifications
* Experience working on generators or similar plant equipment
* Strong fault-finding ability (mechanical & electrical)
* Experience servicing generators up to 100–120 kVA
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
This role is physically demanding and involves working outdoors, so you should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
