Overview
Occupational Therapist - one year fixed term contract. This is a fantastic part time opportunity to join our Psychology and Therapies team at Baldock Manor, supporting the Senior Occupational Therapist and contributing to the success and growth of the hospital.
This position would suit someone looking to work 2 days/15 hours or 3 days/15 hours (5 hours a day).
Responsibilities
The role will involve working within the multidisciplinary teams across all Nouvita Healthcare units, managing a defined caseload of service users providing core occupational therapy assessments and interventions that enable service users to work towards recovery. Undertaking occupational therapy assessments leading to the identification of the service user’s needs whilst addressing occupational performance. In addition to planning and implementing individual and group evidence-based interventions, in collaboration with the service users and staff, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals.
About Us
Nouvita Healthcare was established in 2008 with the opening of our nursing service, Howe Dell Manor. Since then Nouvita Healthcare has grown to offer 160 beds over 10 sites in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire as it has evolved to meet the needs of local Integrated Care Boards. Baldock Manor has four wards; 2 female PICU services, an older working age men’s 14 bed acute/High Dependency unit, and a similar 10 bedded service for working age/older age ladies. The organisation provides coaching and mentoring and opportunities to contribute to service design and innovation.
Job Details
* Pay: £40,000 to £49,000 a year

Qualifications
* Diploma/BSc in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC Registration
* Documented Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
* Post-graduation training relevant to mental health is beneficial
* Experience in post-registration settings, including group and individual work
* Experience working with vulnerable adults in complex mental health contexts
* Experience applying occupational therapy assessments and interventions for mental health
* Experience of risk assessment and health and safety policies
* Experience of multidisciplinary teamwork and understanding MDT roles
