Job Description:
We are currently looking for an Electrical Category Buyer to join a leading manufacturer of motorcycles based in the UK. The successful candidate will drive the purchasing function of the UK-based global brand to ensure a robust supply chain.
The Electrical Category Buyer will:
* Act as the category expert for electrical components, managing the supply base, costing, and supplier sourcing.
* Lead early supplier engagement for new projects, including supplier validation and tracking.
* Negotiate pricing and contracts for new and development products, ensuring manufacturing feasibility and capacity reviews are completed.
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with clear and consistent communication.
* Support purchasing and related departments by proactively managing supply risks that could impact projects.
* Prepare and issue purchase orders and order schedules.
The Electrical Category Buyer will have:
* At least 3 years of industry experience in engineering or manufacturing companies.
* Proven experience in electrical category procurement.
* A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive, or Supply Chain.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Technical knowledge to interpret drawings and specifications to ensure supplier alignment.
* High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
