We have two exciting opportunities (fixed term) available for a Specialist Band 6 Physiotherapist working in the Acute Respiratory Team. The team works across medical and surgical wards, as well as intensive care and outpatient settings, providing specialist respiratory care and rehabilitation to promote positive patient outcomes.
Post Details
The post holder will work in one of the following areas for the duration of their contract:
1. Inpatients (ICU, surgery, medical wards)
2. Outpatients, including cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, secretions clearance, and breathlessness clinics
You will work alongside five other Band 6 Physiotherapists and be supported by a Band 7 staff member to develop your clinical and people skills.
Working Conditions
The role involves working over a 7-day rota (1:5 weekends) and participating in night on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Work independently under the guidance of the team leader and contribute to your own and others' professional development.
* Contribute to departmental activities, including clinical education of students.
* Participate in the provision of out-of-hours services, including evenings and Bank Holidays.
* Ensure compliance with confidentiality, hospital equipment, and safety policies.
* Provide written and verbal feedback to the multidisciplinary team regarding rehabilitation needs and goals to facilitate safe discharge.
* Deputise for senior staff as required.
