* Deliver the Power T&D business strategy and objectives on your tenders and outperform on key success measures.
* Manage commercial and business risks to achieve targets.

What you'll be doing
You'll be employed as a Senior Project Manager on the Accelerated Strategic Transmission Infrastructure (ASTI) program, appointed to a flagship 400kV substation project, leading a team of dedicated professionals through design and into construction.
* Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
* Ensure reports provide relevant information which enables decisions to be made which are informed, cost effective and in line with overall strategy
* Lead a relentless focus on Zero Harm and keep up to date with changes in legislation
* Develop, implement and update resource allocation plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requests
* Develop high performing diverse teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist with internal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering the team. Using the resources available through training, mentoring and performance management
* Lead risk/opportunity reviews, present the Risk Register and recommend/implement changes
* Ensure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines
* Ensure all work is undertaken with a view towards handover and certification
* Develop, implement, review and periodically update resource loaded schedules
* Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control
* Advocate consistency and reliability of digital data to support successful project delivery – data driven decisions

* Experience in Power/Utilities within large infrastructure projects
* Strong communication skills to manage, mentor and empower your team
* Confidence and credibility to liaise with business leaders
* Commercial acumen to control costs and keep projects within budget
* Understanding of standard forms of contracts and performance evaluation techniques

* Proven track record in tendering and managing complex projects, including sub-contractors
* Commercial awareness with knowledge of budgeting and financial control
* Recognised Project Management qualification
* Recognised and relevant Engineering qualification
