We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Champion who has the skills and experience to work with service users initiating, building, and utilising recovery capital to move into long term sustained recovery.
Where Hull
Full Time Salary £25,077.00 (pro rata)
Full Time Hours 37.5 per week (full time)
* Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
* Promote visible recovery
* Initiate and maintain links with the recovery community and mutual aid
* Provide positive role model support to service users
* To be involved in promoting and ensuring service user involvement across the service
* To engage and re-engage service users into treatment
* Promote healthier lifestyles and increase service user choice
* Promote and support individuals into both abstinence based and medically assisted forms of recovery
* To reduce alcohol and drug related harm to the individual and wider community
* Engage with a comprehensive training programme
* Contribute to the overall performance of the service to ensure that targets are achieved
About you
* Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills
* Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs, whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towards Service Users
* Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
* Can remain calm under pressure
* Able to travel as required, including where public transport is not available

The post-holder will be required to work flexibly across all sites within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. This will include evening and weekend working.
The post-holder will be expected to take responsibility for personal development, identifying personal training needs and participate in regular supervision and appraisal.
