Exciting opportunity for experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join Rodda’s.
Location, Scorrier, Redruth, Cornwall, full-time, on-site role
Salary to £40k per annum + benefits package
As Quality Manager you will be a technical expert on the team and play a key role in driving the quality agenda at Rodda’s. With responsibility for leading our Labs team and collaborating closely with the Technical Manager and operational colleagues, you will ensure that our processes, systems and factory practices continue to produce high quality products for our customers. This is an exciting time to join us with new products in development and big growth plans.
Rodda’s is already the ‘go to’ brand and market leader in clotted cream, as well as producing bottled milk and butter, all made with Cornish milk from farms within a 30 km radius of our Creamery in Scorrier, Redruth, Cornwall. The Rodda’s family first started producing cream over 135 years ago and we are now a well known and loved Cornish heritage brand. We have a direct milk supply from our local farm network and we sell our products globally, including the major UK retailers, Food Service businesses and to our strong local market in Cornwall and Devon. We maintain the family ethos, values and culture, whilst operating to leading industry standards.
At Rodda’s, we have a strong focus on giving back to the community and to protecting the environment. We are B Corps certified and in terms of food safety our last BRC result was AA.
Requirements:
* proven leadership experience in FMCG environment
* HACCP & Food Safety certified to level 3 or above
* food manufacturing background/knowledge(dairy advantageous)
* sound understanding of BRCGS Food Safety Issue 9 and retailers Codes of Practice
* ideally lead auditor trained and experienced in managing non conformace investigations and driving corrective action
* team worker and influencer with strong detail, process and systems skills.
* ideally trained as a Lead Auditor (BRCGS or ISO 9001/22000)
* proven experience leading internal audits, managing non-conformance investigations, and driving corrective actions
* working knowledge of environmental monitoring, allergen control, and supplier assurance systems
* experience in managing laboratory operations or micro testing
* competent in problem solving, root cause analysis and trend reporting
* strong IT and documentation skills (Word, Excel, QMS, ERP systems)
* ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functionally
* flexible, resilient under pressure, accurate and compliance focussed.
