The Role You will be expected to: Deliver engaging and effective A Level Geography lessons to Year 12 and Year 13 students. Plan and prepare high-quality schemes of work and lesson resources. Use a range of teaching strategies to ensure all learners are actively engaged. Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback. Implement targeted interventions to support student achievement. Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with college policies. Support learners with additional needs through differentiated teaching. Contribute to curriculum development and course planning. Participate in student recruitment activities, open days, and enrolment events. Maintain accurate student records using college systems. Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance learning outcomes. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a committed and reflective practitioner who is passionate about post-16 education. Degree in Geography or a related subject. PGCE or recognised teaching qualification (or working towards). Strong subject knowledge and understanding of A Level Geography. Ability to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons. Experience or confidence working with 16–18-year-old learners. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Organised, proactive, and adaptable approach to teaching.
