Rate of Pay : £15.86 - £20.33 per hour Summary: The Tenancy and Estate Management Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality tenancy management, estate inspections, and customer-focused housing services across Charnwood Borough Councils housing stock. The role focuses on tenancy sustainment, neighbourhood management, enforcement, and ensuring that housing estates are safe, clean, and well maintained. The postholder will work closely with residents, community partners, contractors, and internal teams to support sustainable tenancies, prevent tenancy failure, and ensure estates meet council standards. The role requires regular site visits, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a varied caseload. Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of general needs and supported housing tenancies. Conduct new-tenancy sign-ups, settling-in visits, and ongoing tenancy reviews. Carry out scheduled estate inspections to identify issues such as fly-tipping, communal repairs, environmental concerns and safety hazards. Work with contractors and internal services to resolve issues, monitor progress, and ensure high standards across all estates. Provide advice on tenancy rights, responsibilities, and housing-related matters. Respond to resident enquiries in person, by phone, and in writing, ensuring high customer care standards. Experiences : Experience in tenancy management, housing management or estate-based services. Experience dealing with ASB, tenancy breaches, and complex resident issues. Experience conducting estate inspections and managing repairs or environmental issues. Requirements: Understanding of housing legislation, tenancy law, and enforcement mechanisms. Awareness of safeguarding for adults and children. Knowledge of social housing practices, tenancy sustainment, and community engagement. Full UK Driving Licence.
