Job description
Prospero Teaching are currently seeking GCSE Tutors to work with young people across a range of subjects in Hastings and the surrounding areas. These roles involve supporting learners who require alternative provision, often on a 1:1 basis.
As a GCSE Tutor, you will:
1. Deliver tailored tuition sessions for GCSE students.
2. Hours vary from 2 to 15 per week per learner.
3. Work with learners who may have SEN, SEMH, are Looked After Children (LAC), have EAL, or experience EBSA.
Subjects Needed:
4. Core GCSE subjects: Maths, English, Science.
5. Other subjects may also be required depending on learner needs.
About you:
6. Experience in teaching or tutoring GCSE-level content.
7. Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons.
8. Empathy and adaptability to support learners with diverse needs.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
9. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SEN

11. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
12. Provide references upon request
13. Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
