Our Endoscopy Unit are proud to be seeking a dynamic Endoscopy Academy Manager to join our busy Endoscopy Department and manage our brand new training programme.

This role will be responsible for the management, administration and organisation of the Endoscopy Training Academy for Sussex (Hub centre), Working to coordinate and support training, trainees and operational leads to lead in the operational and strategic management of the scheme at both local and wider level.

Main duties of the job

1. To provide an efficient administrative service with specific focus on the training schemes/HEE academy
2. Key relationships will particularly be between South East HEE trainees, trainers and the training schemes MDT participants.
3. To co-ordinate both F2F and virtual leadership meetings within the academy
4. To act as support for the Clinical and Nursing leads for the Department and HEE Training Academy as well as local schemes.
5. Coordinate candidate rotations in conjunction with the Training Leads.
6. Coordinate Endoscopy training/teaching events/sessions ensuring effective planning and delivery of the training programme
7. Facilitate the successful delivery of training sessions – to include the dissemination of up-to-date information and coordinating remote training access
8. Create, implement and review any standard operating procedures (SOPs) as necessary
9. Collect and analyse trainee feedback and disseminate as appropriate
10. Take, transcribe and disseminate notes and minutes of meetings and action points- Please see attached JD/PS for full details

Essential and Desirable

Essential criteria

11. GSCE Qualifications (A-C/4-9) including English & Maths
12. Advanced/NVQ/Higher Level/Vocational or Business and Administration Qualification (working towards or equivalent experience)
13. Knowledge & demonstrable experience of managing, supervising or coordinating teams and processes in the acute or primary NHS setting
14. Experience of working within either an Endoscopy or Education/Training NHS setting

Desirable criteria

15. Competent in using Microsoft packages (including Excel)
16. Medical Terminology Qualification
