About The Role
This is a Scheme Support Officer role based in our Supported accommodation service, In2Change, Newport. We have a team of Lead Project Workers, Project Workers & Scheme Support Officers, providing 24/7 support to our diverse group of customers.
Working in a team, you will provide support to a diverse range of people (18+). All are from various backgrounds, currently experiencing trauma and having complex needs. These can range from alcohol or substance misuse, mental health and anti‑social behaviour. Using a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) and working with external agencies, you will help deliver meaningful activities and workshops, and provide housing‑related support to equip our customers with the knowledge, skills and tools they need to live independently.
Your Day Will Consist Of
* Engaging and interacting with the people we support
* Supporting Project Workers in delivering workshops relating to tenancy management and health and wellbeing
* Ensuring the building is secure, including health & safety checks and maintaining an awareness of who is in the building
* Dealing with challenging behaviours
* Addressing any additional needs the people we support might have
Skills and Experience Needed
* A passion to work with and enable people to live as independently as possible
* An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people's lives
* A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
* Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations

Pay and Pensions
* £24,531.00 FTE (£12.75 per hour)
* Sleep‑in rate: £62.64 per 8‑hour shift
