A bespoke, client-centric independent financial planning firm based in Milton Keynes is looking to add a Trainee Financial Planner to its growing team. The Role
Due to a consistent flow of leads and referrals from a long-standing client base, alongside the acquisition of an existing client book, the firm is looking to appoint a new planner. The successful candidate will be involved in client meetings at an early stage, with the clear aim of becoming fully established as a Financial Planner in the near future.
This role would suit someone who holds the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, has experience within an IFA or financial planning firm, and is now looking to transition into an advice-focused role. Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide holistic financial planning and regulated advice across a wide range of case types
* Conduct detailed fact-finding, cashflow modelling, and suitability assessments
* Create and deliver tailored financial plans aligned to clients’ objectives and risk profiles
* Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular reviews and proactive communication
* Work closely with paraplanners to produce accurate research and suitability reports
Candidate Profile
* Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
* Previous experience within a financial planning or IFA firm
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A genuine interest in developing long-term client relationships
* Collaborative, ethical, and client-focused approach
