Overview
We’re looking for a visionary Head of Design to lead and elevate our design capability across key art, digital, social, 3D, motion and out-of-home. You’ll set the creative vision, shape design strategy, and champion craft and innovation at every touchpoint.
This is a leadership role for someone with a sharp eye, a love for storytelling through visuals, and a future-facing mindset. You’ll guide a talented team, embrace emerging technologies (including AI), and foster a culture of experimentation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
 * Lead and develop a high-performing design team across multiple disciplines.
 * Set and evolve the visual standard for UKTV’s brand and campaign work.
 * Drive the creative vision for UKTV’s visual identity in collaboration with senior leadership.
 * Champion innovation, embedding new tools and technologies to keep our work fresh and competitive.
 * Build a culture of creativity, inclusion, and excellence.
 * Collaborate across creative, marketing, media and production to ensure consistency and impact.
 * Oversee external design partners and contribute to broader creative strategy.
What You’ll Bring
Experience:
 * Proven leadership of multidisciplinary design teams across brand, broadcast, digital and campaign work.
 * Strong portfolio showcasing craft, composition, typography and movement.
 * Experience with entertainment, streaming or culturally-relevant consumer brands.
 * Track record of mentoring teams and implementing best-practice workflows.
 * Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and their integration into design processes.
Knowledge & Skills:
 * Deep understanding of contemporary design and visual culture.
 * Expertise in platform-native content design, especially social and digital.
 * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Figma and other design tools.
 * Strategic thinker with a sharp visual eye and strong conceptual skills.
 * Emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and inspiring leader.
